The Crawford Park District consists of Lowe-Volk Park, Unger Park, and Sears Woods State Nature Preserve, the Sandusky River Bikeway and Colonel Crawford Bikeway routes, and the Picnic Park in the Crawford County Fairgrounds. Future park areas include the Heckert Nature Preserve and the Sandusky Wildlife Area, which are scheduled to open in late 2005.
The Park District offices are in the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center.
The Heckert Nature Preserve will feature a hiking trail through a woodland area with wetlands.
While the Sandusky Wildlife Area will be the first Park District area to offer public hunting as well as fishing and canoe access on the Sandusky River. Hunting will be through a lottery system.
